Herman Upmann was a German banker whose love for the Habanos led him to settle in Havana in 1840. He founded a bank and a Habanos factory in 1844. The bank closed, but his brand of cigars persists in our days, considered an example within of the most refined Habanos with an average strength in their flavor. The brand link is made with leaves from the Vuelta Abajo region. The gold medals that adorn the box were obtained by the brand in no less than eleven international fairs during the 19th century, and constitute a characteristic element of this brand, as well as the signature of H.Upmann himself. H. Upmann includes vitolas made entirely by hand with Long Gut. Taste territory: mild to medium.
