The Cohiba Siglo I cigar is a medium-flavored cigar, with a length measurement of 102 mm (4 ») and a ring gauge of 40 (15.88 mm). It is a Vitola de galera Perlas with a smoking time of 40 minutes, intense in Caribbean aromas and flavors.
Cohiba Siglo I is the Pearl par excellence of the Cuban vitolario. With the name of Century I inaugurated this line the memory of the 500 years of the arrival of the tobacco to Europe. In 1992 Habanos SA launched a new range of sizes, Line 1492. To celebrate Christopher Columbus and his trip to the Americas, with each size refers to one hundred years since the discovery of Columbus. The range constituted Siglo I, Siglo II, Siglo III, Siglo IV and Siglo V, with a VI Century added in 2002. Cohiba is characterized by two of the leaves of the filling experiencing a third fermentation in barrels. This creates silkiness to the mix that leads to the unique experience of Cohiba.
